Govt. Middle School Jalwehra was established in early sixties. When middle school was approved by the authorities, land was required. But no land was available with the Panchayat. Jathedar Malkiat Singh President Local Gurdwara Committee persuaded S Puran Singh to Donate one acer land for the School and S Puran Singh agreed. Master Gurdit Singh was the Sarpanch Gram Panchayat at that Time. He efficiently arranged to transfer the land in the name of Panchayat. After that it was possible to start the middle school at our village.Building was constructed with the donations of several villagers. The Middle School was built on the land donated by S. PURAN SINGH JI, otherwise it was likely to be shifted to some neighbouring village where the land was available.
Earlier primary school was working in the Village Gurdwara hall, it was used for school as well as JANJ GHAR. Master Sukhdev Singh from Village Nadalon and Master Joginder Singh of Village Dihana worked for years in the primary school. Most of the old students might remember them. Primary school was established after Independence, prior to it kids have to walk to Village Baddon even for primary education.
